We are looking for an HR Generalist that will support day-to-day HR operations. This role has a strong focus on executing HR operations, employee support and full cycle recruitment. This position will have exposure to a wide range or HR topics by supporting the CHRO on ad hoc projects and processes.
This position will be hybrid, operating 1 - 2 days a week from our New York City office.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Execute and continuously improve employee onboarding and offboarding procedures; including setting up laptops, orientation, managing new hire paperwork, systems assignment, hiring and terminating employees in payroll.
- Update HR SharePoint (intranet) & create new pages for key information independently
- Maintain HR data, org charts, and Collaborate with PEO on benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data to support compliance, reporting, distribution lists, and documentation needs.
- Support the CHRO on broader HR team on talent initiatives, wellness programs, performance management, employee engagement efforts, and employee events.
- Provide general HR support and coverage as needed.
- Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Talent Acquisition
- Provide admin support to CHRO on recruiting senior/executive roles and execute full-cycle recruitment process for mid-level to junior roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to assess talent needs, develop and update job descriptions, and implement effective recruiting strategies.
- Work closely with managers to manage and execute the internship program. Including but not limited to full cycle recruitment, onboarding & offboarding, evaluation process, evaluation projects, time sheets, new hire conversion, manager support on performance management.
Office Management
- Leading office administrative tasks such as keeping inventories, stocking supplies, business cards, planning and executing company events (Annual Meeting) and other employee experience related activities.
- Managing NY office cleanliness, health and safety, security, repair protocols, office access, fire and safety drills, liaising with building management and super as needed, etc. Occasional Ad hoc support to D.C. office.
- Opening NYC office doors for visitors and answer main line phone (can be done virtual and in-person)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 - 5 years of HR experience.
- Strong working knowledge of HR practices, including talent acquisition, compliance, and HR data.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and solve complex people-related issues.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
- Interest in reporting and data analysis.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) preferred.
