Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to join the Executive Leadership Team at a luxury independent hotel in Los Angeles. Reporting directly to the General Manager, with a dotted-line relationship to ownership, this leader will oversee all aspects of the Human Resources function while serving as a strategic business partner to hotel leadership.

This role requires an accomplished hospitality HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a proven track record of leading organizational change, developing high-performing teams, and fostering a strong, engaging culture.

pPartner with the General Manager and executive team to develop and execute the property's Human Resources strategy

.Participate in executive and ownership meetings, presenting key HR metrics and organizational updates

tLead recruitment strategy and workforce planning
.Oversee succession planning and leadership development
.Coach managers through hiring and interviewing best practices
.Develop internal talent pipelines while balancing business needs

.Employee Relations & Performanc

eServe as the primary resource for employee relations matters
.Support performance management and professional development

.Ensure leaders are equipped to effectively coach and evaluate team members

.Compensation, Benefits & Payrol

lManage payroll administration through Paycom
.Oversee employee benefits and leave administration
.Lead compensation planning, recognition, and incentive programs
.Monitor market trends to ensure competitive compensation practices

.Compliance & Risk Managemen

tOversee Workers' Compensation administration

Ideal Candida

teProgressive Human Resources leadership experience within a full-service hotel or resor
t.Demonstrated success leading organizational change and cultural transformatio
n.Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, payroll, benefits, and succession plannin
g.Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, preferably Payco
m.Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skill
