Role: Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Generative AI to support the development and optimization of AI-driven digital assistant solutions. This role requires a combination of advanced technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate product requirements into scalable, production-ready systems.

The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics teams to evaluate, deploy, and continuously improve AI models in a customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Work independently to understand stakeholder needs and translate high-level product requirements into technical solutions
Monitor and evaluate emerging Generative AI models, benchmarking them against defined performance, latency, and cost metrics
Conduct systematic model evaluations to support selection, optimization, and continuous improvement of AI systems
Apply industry best practices in Generative AI to enhance solution quality and efficiency
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade AI systems and services
Ensure robust documentation of methodologies, experiments, and system performance
Communicate insights, progress, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver iterative improvements and high-quality outcomes

Requirements

Experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
Proven experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
Strong track record in developing, deploying, and scaling AI/ML systems in production

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming and writing maintainable, production-grade code
Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks
Strong understanding of model evaluation, benchmarking, and performance optimization (including latency and cost considerations)
Experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD for machine learning
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience building and integrating APIs for model deployment
Familiarity with additional programming languages is a plus
