Associate – Private Equity

About the Role
Our client is a well-established private equity firm investing in lower mid-market and mid-market companies across the Netherlands. The firm partners with ambitious management teams to support growth, improve operational performance, and create long-term value.
As part of its continued growth, the firm is looking to hire an Associate to join its investment team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle, including deal execution, portfolio management and exits.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyse new investment opportunities.
- Build financial models and perform valuation analyses.
- Conduct commercial, financial and operational due diligence.
- Prepare investment papers and Investment Committee presentations.
- Support the execution of acquisitions, financings and exits.
- Work closely with management teams, advisors, banks and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
- Conduct industry and market research.
Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of relevant transaction experience.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Experience working on M&A transactions and financial due diligence.
- Excellent analytical and commercial judgement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Fluent Dutch and English.
