Executive Leadership Role | International Scope | Capital Markets & IPO Focus
The Opportunity
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and offers significant exposure to shareholders, capital markets, and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Markets & IPO Leadership
- Lead the preparation and execution of a potential European public listing (Euronext or LSE).
- Manage relationships with investment banks, legal advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and execute the organization's capital markets strategy.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
- Advise executive leadership on investment decisions, financing structures, and growth initiatives.
- Support strategic planning and regional expansion activities.
- Provide financial insight to enhance business performance and shareholder value.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and cash flow management.
- Drive financial discipline and operational excellence across the region.
- Establish robust KPI frameworks to support decision-making.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with European regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
- Promote best practices in financial governance across multiple jurisdictions.
Financial Reporting & Tax
- Lead all accounting, reporting, consolidation, and tax activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting under IFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and financial stakeholders.
Leadership
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing finance organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Mentor senior finance leaders and support talent development across the region.
Requirements
- 20+ years of finance leadership experience.
- Previous experience as CFO of a listed company, or a senior leadership role within corporate finance or a multinational organization.
- Strong exposure to capital markets transactions or large-scale financing initiatives.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, building materials, or other capital-intensive sectors is highly desirable.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, RA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
