Location: Belgium or the Netherlands, with flexible remote working

Travel: Regular travel across the Benelux region, with occasional travel to Sweden, the UK and wider European markets
About the role
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to act as the lead marketing contact for Belgium, the Netherlands, and Sweden (with potential expansion into new markets).
Working and providing input within the global marketing strategy, you will translate our strategic priorities into focused, regional marketing plans. You will be responsible for identifying the right local activities, developing regional campaigns and ensuring marketing activity is aligned with our sales, customer and growth objectives.
This is a hands-on role combining planning with delivery. You will need to be comfortable developing a regional marketing plan, while also managing events, producing and coordinating content, supporting sales teams and ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively.
You will work as part of an international marketing team, as well as being a key part of the Benelux team lead team creating the local execution plans.
Strong communication, collaboration and personal accountability will therefore be essential.
Regional marketing planning
- Development of annual and quarterly marketing plans
- Translate the global marketing strategy into relevant regional campaigns, activities and priorities.
- Provide informed recommendations on market opportunities, audience needs, channel selection and budget allocation.
- Maintain a clear regional marketing calendar aligned with product launches, commercial priorities, events and sales activity.
- Balance regional requirements with the need to maintain a consistent group brand, message and customer experience.
- Monitor local market trends, competitors and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Campaign development and execution
- Plan and deliver regional campaigns
- Adapt global campaigns and content for local audiences, ensuring language, messaging and propositions are relevant to each market.
- Manage campaign timelines, stakeholders, approvals and follow-up activity.
- Evaluate campaign performance and use results to improve future activity.
Events and customer engagement
- Own the regional events programme and recommend which events the business should attend
- Manage event planning, logistics, promotion, internal coordination and post-event follow-up.
- Work closely with sales teams to define event objectives, lead capture processes and follow-up responsibilities.
- Report on event performance using agreed measures such as engagement, leads, opportunities, pipeline contribution and return on investment.
Content and communications
- Identify regional content needs based on commercial priorities, customer challenges and market opportunities.
- Support the development of case studies, customer stories, thought-leadership content, product communications and sales materials.
- Help grow the profile of our brand through relevant regional PR, partnerships, social media and industry engagement.
- Ensure all regional content follows agreed brand, messaging and regulatory guidelines.
Budget management and performance
- Manage approved budgets responsibly, maintaining accurate forecasts and expenditure records.
- Track agreed marketing metrics and provide regular performance updates to the Head of Marketing and regional stakeholders.
Essential experience and capabilities
- Experience in a regional, international or multi-market marketing role.
- Experience developing and managing regional marketing plans aligned with a wider business or global marketing strategy.
- Based in Belgium or the Netherlands and able to travel regularly across the region.
- Professional fluency in Dutch and English
- Strong hands-on campaign delivery experience
- Demonstrable experience planning and delivering events, exhibitions or customer programmes.
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders including sales, leadership, KOLs etc and aligning marketing activity with commercial objectives
- Experience managing marketing budgets, forecasts and suppliers.
- A good understanding of marketing measurement, campaign reporting and return on investment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable experience
- Experience within the veterinary, animal health, medical device, healthcare, diagnostics or life sciences sectors.
- French, German or Swedish would be advantageous but not essential
- Clinical knowledge or an understanding of veterinary practice and customer needs.
- Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM and marketing automation platform.
- Knowledge of the Swedish or wider Nordic market.
