Position Summary
Assists with all aspects of full-cycle recruitment for non-academic vacancies with the ultimate goal of finding the most qualified, interested and affordable candidates, while maintaining stakeholder relationships and developing candidate pipelines of additional prospects for current and future openings.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and uses proven, cost-effective recruitment strategies to screen, recruit and place all levels of non-academic employees. Makes appropriate salary recommendations (based on applicants' experience and other internal equity considerations).
- Consults with hiring managers regarding newly posted positions. Discusses internal/external recruitment strategies; drafts advertisements & recommends advertising sources. Develops search plan agreements to confirm shared responsibilities of search.
- Partners with hiring managers to develop concise and accurate job descriptions for posted vacancies. Collaborates with the development of skills and abilities to help identify the most highly qualified candidates.
- Facilitates and participates in panel interviews with candidates, hiring managers and other hiring constituents. Serves as the primary contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Meets with internal applicants regarding transfers/promotional opportunities within the institution to assess applicants' qualifications for vacant positions.
- Ensures that all internal and external applicants comply with institutional and governmental employment requirements.
- Maintains contact with external employment-related agencies and attends career fairs/consortiums and related events to continually build a pipeline of quality candidates.
- Verifies applicant educational and employment references.
- Assists in the compilation of statistics for periodic and/or special reports.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience
Approximately 2 years of recruitment/interviewing experience.
Demonstrated and proven experience recruiting qualified candidates using a variety of sources.
