Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Training Specialist on behalf of our client in Washington, DC. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a training and cybersecurity professional with experience developing workforce education programs, instructional content, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives. The successful candidate will help strengthen organizational security by designing engaging training programs, supporting workforce development, and promoting cybersecurity best practices across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging cybersecurity and information technology training programs for employees.
- Translate the NICE Workforce Framework (NIST SP 800-181) into defined cybersecurity roles and associated knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs).
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity training policies, curricula, procedures, and educational content.
- Create and update Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses by combining third-party content with internally developed learning materials.
- Partner with Learning Management System (LMS) administrators to deploy, maintain, and manage training content and course assignments.
- Develop and distribute cybersecurity awareness newsletters and educational communications.
- Track employee training completion, certification status, and compliance metrics.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on feedback, performance data, and evolving cybersecurity requirements.
- Support enterprise cybersecurity awareness and workforce development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing and delivering cybersecurity and information technology training programs.
- Experience applying the NICE Workforce Framework (NIST SP 800-181) to define cybersecurity roles and workforce competencies.
- Experience developing cybersecurity training policies, curricula, and instructional materials.
- Hands-on experience creating Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses and working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience developing cybersecurity awareness communications, newsletters, and educational content.
- Experience tracking training completion, certifications, and compliance reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cybersecurity workforce development within government or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Experience with enterprise Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
