Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an Insider Threat Analyst on behalf of our client in Washington, DC. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a cybersecurity professional with experience in insider threat, investigations, intelligence analysis, or corporate security. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting organizational assets by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating insider threats while supporting enterprise security operations and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support enterprise insider threat programs, including policies, procedures, and operational processes.
- Monitor security alerts, triage events, and investigate potential insider threat activities.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate threat intelligence from internal and external sources to identify emerging risks and vulnerabilities.
- Utilize Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel, to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Partner with cybersecurity, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to support insider threat investigations.
- Maintain detailed investigation records, documentation, and risk assessment reports.
- Recommend improvements to insider threat detection capabilities, monitoring processes, and security controls.
- Support continuous enhancement of enterprise security operations and incident response initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in insider threat, cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, investigations, law enforcement, counterintelligence, or corporate security.
- Experience developing and implementing insider threat programs and operational procedures.
- Experience monitoring security events, triaging alerts, and investigating insider threat or security-related incidents.
- Hands-on experience gathering and analyzing threat intelligence from multiple sources.
- Experience working with Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with security technologies such as Qualys, CrowdStrike, Cloudflare, CyberArk, and SolarWinds.
- Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience working in regulated or government environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
