I'm working with a growing Northeast Ohio organization that is expanding its cybersecurity team after adding 50+ new employees this year. They're continuing to invest in their security infrastructure while also building governance around emerging AI technologies.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in cybersecurity and gain hands-on experience across security operations, SIEM, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents and alerts
🔹 Develop and tune SIEM use cases, dashboards, and correlation rules
🔹 Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation efforts
🔹 Support endpoint security and incident response activities
🔹 Conduct basic threat hunting and investigate security events
🔹 Create cybersecurity runbooks and documentation
🔹 Partner with IT teams to strengthen the organization's overall security posture
Qualifications:
✅ 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT, Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, SOC, Network Administration, or an MSP/MSSP environment
✅ Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, and incident response
✅ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
✅ Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) are highly preferred
Position Details:
• 6+ month contract with strong potential to convert to a permanent position
• Conversion salary around $70,000
• 100% onsite in Stow, OH
