Human Resources Generalist
New York, NY (Manhattan, Hybrid/In-Office)
A growing consumer goods and hospitality-focused organization is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle across corporate and frontline teams. This role will partner closely with leadership on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration, benefits, compliance, and culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer support
- Coordinate onboarding, training, and new hire integration
- Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Support payroll administration and HR reporting
- Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and terminations
- Administer benefits programs and support open enrollment processes
- Manage leave administration and employee accommodations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and training programs
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration
- Hands-on payroll experience required
- Knowledge of New York employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience administering employee benefits and leave programs
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within hospitality, retail, food & beverage, consumer products, or multi-site operations
- ADP Workforce Now or ADP TotalSource experience
- Spanish language skills
Compensation
- Base salary: $68,000-$75,000
- Bonus opportunity
