Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Engineer to help protect the organization's systems, networks, and data from security threats. The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring security events, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and implementing security controls under the guidance of senior security professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities.
- Assist in detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
- Help maintain firewalls, antivirus solutions, endpoint protection, and other security tools.
- Review system logs and security reports for potential threats.
- Support implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Participate in security audits and compliance activities.
- Assist with user access management and identity security controls.
- Document incidents, findings, and security recommendations.
- Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing, switching).
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, threats, and attack vectors.
- Understanding of vulnerability management and risk assessment.
- Basic knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and antivirus solutions.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Internship, project, or lab experience in cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
