Job Description
Job Summary
The HR & Office Coordinator supports both human resources functions and daily office operations. This role is responsible for administrative support, employee coordination, onboarding activities, office management, HRIS entry, and creating a professional and organized workplace environment.
The salary range for this position is $26.50 - $28 an hour. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions
- Completes and assists with the onboarding and orientation of new hires
- Helps coordinate and assist with training sessions
- Leads and coordinates employee relations and community events locally and within the office
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Completes HRIS entry for current employees, new hires and terminated employees
- Trains managers and employees on HRIS systems
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
- Submits online investigation requests, completes employment verifications and assists with new-employee background checks
- Helps maintain the employee portal
- Assists with benefits and wellness fairs
- Processes workers compensation claims
- Schedules meetings and interviews
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions
- Files documents into appropriate employee files
- Assists or prepares correspondence shipping needs
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, and conference room scheduling
- Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, parking, and office maintenance requests
- Handle incoming calls, mail, emails, and office correspondence
- Assist leadership with reports, presentations, and special projects
- Orders, maintains, and restocks office supplies, snacks, and drinks
- Assists executive team in preparing for meetings and events
- Ensure the office environment remains professional, clean, and efficient
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- At least two years of related experience required
- Experience with HRIS or payroll systems
- Hospitality, corporate, or customer service industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
- Ability to manage difficult interactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Familiarity with company rules, regulations, and operational standards
- Ability to identify straightforward issues and propose simple solutions
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
- Ability to be a team player, working collaboratively with others
Additional Information
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
- No adverse or hazardous conditions
- Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
