Segrera Associates is recruiting an HR Director on behalf of a well-established and growing construction company in the Sarasota/Venice area. This strategic leadership role reports directly to executive leadership and will oversee all core human resources functions across a multi-location operation. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, experience building scalable HR processes, and the ability to operate as a hands-on business partner within a fast-paced environment. This role is fully on-site in North Venice, FL. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Venice, FL and comfortable working on-site. Candidates open to relocating to the Venice area are also welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to leadership by helping drive HR initiatives aligned with business objectives and company growth.
- Lead recruiting efforts across multiple business lines, including operations, field personnel, administrative, and leadership-level hires.
- Oversee employee relations matters, performance management initiatives, and workforce development programs.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives are effectively maintained and continuously improved.
- Assist in evaluating and enhancing compensation, benefits, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR team while helping streamline internal processes and operational workflows.
- Support ongoing HR technology enhancements and process improvement initiatives tied to company growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 5–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous management experience leading HR teams and organizational initiatives.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience within construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and system implementations preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills required.
