Confidential – Private Equity–Backed Healthcare Manufacturer
We are partnering with a global manufacturing company undergoing a significant private equity–led transformation to hire a strategic Global Head of Human Resources. The business is shifting from a legacy public-company mindset to a focused, performance-driven operating model and needs an HR leader who can drive change at scale.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and CFO, helping to reset enterprise priorities, rebuild leadership capability, and align talent, rewards, and accountability directly to business outcomes. You will sit at the center of a multi-year value creation plan, shaping the culture, operating cadence, and leadership standards required to deliver step-change performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of a global people and leadership strategy tightly aligned with the company’s value creation plan and executive agenda.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and ownership group on organization design, leadership trade-offs, and sequencing of change.
- Drive complex change management initiatives, including multiple restructuring waves, leadership upgrades, and the build-out of a high-performance culture.
- Implement differentiated performance management, incentive, and succession processes that reward results, commercial thinking, and operational ownership.
- Build a data-driven HR operating rhythm that improves workforce visibility and speeds decision-making at executive and board level.
- Embed clear expectations for accountability, execution, and behavioral standards across regions and functions.
Required Experience:
- Senior global HR leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial, or medical device environments.
- Direct, hands-on experience working with a private equity sponsor in a transformation, carve-out, or turnaround context (PE experience is required, not preferred).
- Proven track record partnering as a true peer to CEOs and CFOs to drive enterprise-wide change.
- Demonstrated success leading significant workforce reductions, leadership resets, and culture change in organizations that were not starting from strength.
- Experience operating across multiple regions (e.g., Americas, EMEA, and APAC) in complex, matrixed environments.
Ideal Leadership Profile:
- Thinks like an operator, not a policy steward, framing HR decisions in terms of execution, performance, and value creation.
- Comfortable making and standing behind tough people decisions, including senior leadership changes and restructuring, while maintaining credibility and trust.
- Communicates clearly and directly with executives, employees, and investors; able to deliver uncomfortable truths with respect and firmness.
- Thrives in high-intensity, high-ambiguity environments and prefers progress over perfection.
- Acts with transparency and consistency, earning followership even when decisions are difficult.
Location & Travel:
- Role is based in the United States with global scope; relocation support may be available for exceptional candidates.
- International travel will be required to key regional hubs and manufacturing sites.
