The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner on recruiting operations as needed, including offer process coordination and hiring logistics
- Own day-to-day people operations across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HR systems, policy administration, and documentation
- Manage and improve people processes so they are efficient, compliant, and scalable
- Partner with leadership on org planning, headcount tracking, performance processes, and manager support
- Run onboarding to ensure new hires ramp quickly and have a strong employee experience
- Administer compensation and benefits processes in partnership with finance and external vendors
- Maintain employee data, reporting, and HRIS accuracy
- Support payroll inputs, audits, and coordination with payroll providers and finance teams
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements, especially for California employees
- Manage leave of absence, accommodations, employee relations issues, and sensitive people matters with judgment and discretion
- Help shape and operationalize policies, handbooks, and internal people guidelines
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, feedback cycles, and programs that improve retention and performance
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on people-related questions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- 3+ years' experience in Human Resources
- Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
