A background in Environmental Commodities — including carbon, biofuels, and renewable energy markets — is a distinct advantage. Role Responsibilities:
As a Sales Trader, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Cultivating relationships with top-tier entities, including utilities, project developers, and corporates.
- Facilitating transactions in line with both client and Amsterdam Renewable Markets' standards.
- Striving to meet and exceed annual sales targets, ensuring sustained growth.
- Engaging in trading activities involving renewable power certificates, carbon offsets, among others.
- Daily interactions with team clients, expertly managing existing portfolios while simultaneously expanding the client base.
- Continuously monitoring environmental commodities market shifts and proactively aiding Amsterdam Renewable Markets' growth.
- Innovating commodity deal structures that satisfy both client and company objectives.
Role Requirements:
To fit this role:
- English & Spanish fluency is a must.
- You should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in fields like business, finance, economics, or similar.
- Bring along 1-3 years of experience in commodities trading, brokering, or business development, ideally within the energy or industrial sectors.
- Be a self-starter with a keen desire for continual learning.
- Demonstrate stellar communication abilities, emphasizing feedback exchange.
- Your dedication to environmental preservation should be evident.
- Skilled in generating leads using diverse strategies, including cold calling and data analytics.
- You should either reside in or be willing to move to Amsterdam
