As a Starbucks
partner resources business partner, senior (PRO BP senior), you are a strategic human resources business partner and advocate for the organization and our Green Apron partners. You ensure effective delivery of Partner Resources (HR) services to Starbucks partners across an aligned business unit, department, or region. We take pride in all our partners modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, mission, and values. As a PRO BP Senior, you will lead in this space.
As a partner resources (HR) business partner, senior you will:
Be Resilient: Navigate change and help others to do the same. Provide thoughtful consultation and make decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Act Courageously: Proactively solicits and listens to partners’ concerns and plays an active role in resolving problems and removing obstacles. Supports partners in obtaining information about benefits, compensation, training and other Partner Resources programs and services.
Teach & Coach Others: Provide consultation and support to people leaders on Partner (employee) Relations issues, company policy, and applicable employment law. Facilitates partner learning and development content, succession planning, retention strategies, and career development.
Take Initiative: Partner with other Partner Resources Centers of Excellence and cross functional teams to ensure clients’ organizational needs are met. Develops a strategy inclusive of programs and tactics that drive the business forward.
The PRO BP Senior role will be expected to regularly travel to our coffeehouses must be based in one of the following locations:
- Nashville, Tennessee
- Greater Atlanta
- Arizona
- West Virginia / Greater Pittsburgh.
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Six or more years of human resources generalist or specialist experience
- Three or more years of consulting with internal clients to identify business needs and recommend solutions
- A strong desire to grow in the Partner Resources Organization at Starbucks
- Flexibility to meet the demands of supporting our Green Apron partners and beyond
- Willingness to learn systems, tools, resources and strategies that drive business results
- Experience in dealing with ambiguous situations and challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly connect and communicate with all levels of leadership
- Ability to work independently and make confident decisions without all needed and necessary information
- Experience leveraging existing resources to create new and improved processes and systems to support clients

- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
