Job Summary
The Shopper Marketing Manager for the Global Consumer team at Signify is responsible for developing and executing the global shopper marketing strategy to influence purchase decisions across physical and digital retail environments. The role leads the development of integrated shopper programs that translate consumer insights into compelling retail activation, ensuring that Signify’s consumer lighting portfolio stands out at the point of purchase. By collaborating closely with global marketing, regional teams, sales, and retail partners, the Shopper Marketing Lead drives conversion, category growth, and brand visibility across key channels.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Leads the development of the global shopper marketing strategy aligned with the Integrated Marketing Plan and consumer growth priorities.
- Translates consumer and shopper insights into effective retail activation strategies across in-store, e-commerce, and omnichannel environments.
- Drives conversion and category growth through impactful 4P shopper strategies, including promotions, pricing, merchandising, and placement.
- Develops global shopper toolkits, guidelines, and best practices to support regional and market teams in executing consistent and effective retail campaigns.
- Partners closely with sales, category management, and retail partners to optimize shelf presence, digital shelf visibility, and in-store experience.
- Leads the planning and execution of retail activations supporting key product launches and portfolio priorities within the consumer lighting segment.
- Manages shopper marketing investments and tracks performance metrics to ensure strong ROI and continuous improvement of shopper programs.
- Drives cross-functional collaboration between global marketing, regional teams, sales, and communications to ensure seamless omnichannel execution.
- Builds shopper marketing capabilities across the organization by sharing insights, tools, and best practices.
Critical Experiences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing, retail marketing, or commercial marketing roles within global or regional organizations.
- Proven experience in developing shopper-centric strategies that drive conversion and sales growth across retail and e-commerce channels.
- Strong understanding of omnichannel retail dynamics, category management, and shopper behavior analytics.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with sales, marketing, and retail partners in international environments.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring the effectiveness of retail activations and promotional investments.
- Certification in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, or Shopper Marketing (e.g., CIM, AMA Professional Certified Marketer) is considered a plus.
