Role Description

We are seeking a reliable, technically skilled, and service-oriented IT Support Officer to provide effective technology support and ensure smooth operation of IT systems, devices, and digital services across the organization. This role is responsible for assisting users with technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting problems, and supporting the delivery of efficient and secure technology solutions.

As an IT Support Officer, you will provide technical assistance to users, respond to support requests, diagnose hardware and software issues, and ensure technology-related problems are resolved efficiently. You will work closely with IT teams, business departments, and external technology partners to maintain reliable systems and deliver a positive user experience.

Responsibilities include providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, network connectivity, and peripheral devices. You will assist with user account management, system configuration, software installation, device setup, and IT equipment maintenance while ensuring all activities follow organizational security and operational procedures.

The role also involves managing IT support tickets, documenting technical issues and solutions, maintaining knowledge base resources, monitoring system performance, and assisting with technology upgrades and implementations. You will support IT asset management, maintain accurate equipment records, and help ensure technology resources are properly configured and available for business operations.

You will contribute to improving IT service quality by identifying recurring technical issues, recommending process improvements, supporting cybersecurity practices, and helping users adopt technology solutions effectively. You will collaborate with different teams to understand technology needs, provide guidance, and support continuous improvement of IT operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of IT support principles, hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and technical problem-solving.
Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with computer hardware, peripherals, printers, mobile devices, and workplace technology equipment.
Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi connectivity, and basic network troubleshooting.
Knowledge of user account management, access control, and IT security best practices.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues effectively.
Familiarity with IT service management concepts and ticketing systems is beneficial.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, cloud applications, and productivity software is an advantage.
Ability to install, configure, update, and maintain software applications and IT devices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and support solutions clearly.
