Position Overview

Gemean is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Forensic Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Forensic Analyst, you will play a critical role in digital forensic investigations and data-driven analysis, uncovering electronic evidence for legal, regulatory, or internal compliance purposes. This role demands strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a meticulous approach to evidence handling. Key Responsibilities

Conduct forensic examinations, including data recovery, analysis, and interpretation of digital evidence from computers, servers, mobile devices, and cloud environments.
Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets relevant to investigations.
Ensure forensic procedures adhere to industry best practices, including maintaining proper chain-of-custody documentation.
Assist in designing investigation strategies based on case requirements and scope.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify vulnerabilities, breaches, or suspicious activities.
Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings clearly for legal and compliance purposes.
Stay current with developments in digital forensics, cybercrime, and investigative techniques.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
1–3 years of relevant professional experience in analytics, investigations, or cybersecurity.
Strong technical skills in SQL (querying, joins, data manipulation) and Python (data analysis, scripting, automation).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and meticulous documentation practices.
Strong communication skills for reporting and potential expert testimony.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Working knowledge of digital forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Axiom, or similar platforms.
Experience in electronic discovery, cyber investigations, or related fields.
Background in cybersecurity or incident response.
Familiarity with cloud environments and log analysis.
