The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong academic background in computer science and AI, who wants to grow into a key contributor within our AI and software engineering team. You will work closely with experienced AI engineers and software developers on complex, production-grade systems deployed in real healthcare settings. Product development involves cameras, embedded AI-models, embedded software and integration with healthcare systems.

This role fits someone that is analytically strong, hands-on, and eager to take responsibility.

What You’ll Do

Develop and improve computer vision models and supporting software for real-world healthcare applications
Work on C++ (CMake) and Python codebases
Translate research concepts into pragmatic, maintainable, high-quality software
Collaborate closely with AI engineers and software engineers
Take ownership over complex programming tasks and help coordinate joint technical developments
Contribute to system architecture, model performance, and software robustness
Optionally work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Terraform)

Your Profile

MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
Strong interest in healthcare technology and real-world impact
Experience with:
C++ and CMake
Python
Computer Vision (AI)
Able to work on complex development tasks in a collaborative setting
Comfortable taking technical ownership and guiding shared development efforts

Practical Requirements

Valid work permit for the Netherlands already in place
