Cybersecurity Intern (2026-48)

Overview

The Cybersecurity Intern will support the Information Security team in monitoring, analyzing, and protecting enterprise systems and data. This role provides hands-on experience with cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response support. The intern will collaborate with experienced security professionals, contribute to maintaining a secure technology environment, and gain exposure to industry tools and frameworks.

About The Internship

The expected duration of the internship is 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2026, approximately 35 hours per week. This is a hybrid role based out of the AAA’s headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. The hourly rate for this position is $25.

Qualifications

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products; exposure to scripting or security tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to understand, analyze, and document technical issues and procedures
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Eagerness to learn and apply cybersecurity concepts, tools, and frameworks
