What You’ll Be Up To (some examples):

Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including processing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping ledgers accurate through timely journal entries
Perform periodic reconciliations across bank accounts, the general ledger, payroll,, and intercompany balances, while ensuring accurate and timely tax and VAT submissions
Carry out month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Produce clear, insightful financial reporting, including monthly management reports, investor updates, and variance analyses
Assist in the preparation of financial statements according to Dutch GAAP
Support statutory audit requests and communicate with external auditors
Strengthen financial processes by identifying risks, improving controls, and implementing scalable, efficient workflows
Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects as needed

Your Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in accounting or financial controlling, preferrably in a start-up or scale-up environment
Proficiency with Microsoft and ERP systems (Exact is a strong plus)
Good understanding of general accounting and financial control principles
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Strong analytical skills with a structured approach and attention to detail
Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

You prefer to stay high-level: While this is a strategic role, no task is too small. If you aren't willing to roll up your sleeves and get into the "weeds" of execution, this isn't the right fit
