Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Operational Finance Expert with AI affinity to join our team in Rotterdam. This role is pivotal in ensuring that port tariffs are accurately processed through our AI engine and verified against real-world invoices. You will collaborate with our other offices and port agents worldwide to enhance our systems and provide key insights for improving AI performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Collect Global Port Tariffs:
- Liaise with agents worldwide to gather detailed and accurate port tariffs for various maritime services.
- Maintain a structured database of tariff information from different geographic regions.
- Analyze, Translate, and Enter Tariffs:
- Review and interpret complex port tariffs and ensure they are accurately translated and inputted into our proprietary AI engine for validation.
- Test and Validate AI Outputs:
- Conduct tests on AI-validated tariffs by comparing the results with actual invoices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify discrepancies and work with the team to resolve issues in the AI process.
- Implement and Monitor in Beacon52 System:
- Collaborate with our UK office to implement the AI-validated tariffs in the Beacon52 system.
- Monitor performance and ensure that updates are applied seamlessly in the system.
- Monthly Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track the progress of AI-validated invoices on a monthly basis, ensuring all discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
- Generate detailed reports on the AI engine’s performance and tariff processing accuracy.
- AI Engine Improvement:
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve the AI engine’s ability to process and validate tariffs accurately.
- Work closely with the development team to implement suggested changes and monitor the effectiveness of updates.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in the maritime industry, particularly with port tariffs, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using AI tools and systems for financial analysis or tariff validation is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex tariff structures.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with our teams.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
