Schedule Expectations:
The HR Specialist should have flexible availability Monday–Saturday. This includes working at least two Saturdays per month and one evening shift per week, with evening availability until approximately 8:00 p.m.
Position Summary
Chick-fil-A Noblesville is seeking a highly relational and growth-minded HR Specialist to support talent acquisition, onboarding, coaching, employee engagement, corrective action, and people operations.
This is not a traditional office-only HR role. While this position will help lead important people initiatives, much of the role will be spent actively serving alongside the restaurant team, supporting operations, building trust with team members, and creating a remarkable experience for guests.
The HR Specialist will serve as an on-site HR presence and trusted resource for team members and leaders. This person will help strengthen culture, support leadership development, improve retention, and partner with restaurant leadership to ensure people practices align with the needs of the business.
This role is designed for someone who wants to grow in Human Resources and has interest in a future path toward an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or HR Director role.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition and Retention
- Develop and support sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Manage job postings and candidate communication through the Applicant Tracking System.
- Conduct interviews and support hiring decisions in partnership with restaurant leadership.
- Coordinate onboarding and help create a positive new hire experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve retention and team member engagement.
Coaching and Corrective Action
- Monitor documentation and follow up on needed coaching or corrective action.
- Partner with leaders to develop coaching plans that support team member growth.
- Provide guidance for performance conversations, accountability discussions, and critical conversations.
- Promote open communication and help resolve team member concerns appropriately.
Employee Engagement and Culture
- Support initiatives that build a positive, encouraging, and high-performing work culture.
- Help interpret engagement survey results and support action planning.
- Foster open communication between team members and leadership.
- Help identify and address concerns that may affect morale, engagement, or retention.
- Model Chick-fil-A Noblesville’s core values in all interactions.
Business Partnership
- Serve as a strategic people partner to the General Manager and restaurant leadership team.
- Help align HR practices with business goals, operational needs, and team development priorities.
- Spend regular time in the restaurant working alongside team members to build trust, observe culture, and better understand team needs.
- Support leadership in creating a healthy, values-driven work environment.
Succession Planning and Leadership Development
- Help identify high-potential team members and future leaders.
- Support development plans for emerging talent.
- Partner with leadership to identify talent gaps and future staffing needs.
- Help ensure smooth leadership transitions and continued bench strength.
Self-Development and Continuous Improvement
- Pursue ongoing personal and professional growth in Human Resources, leadership, and people development.
- Stay informed on HR best practices, employment trends, and compliance expectations.
- Seek feedback and use self-reflection to improve leadership effectiveness.
- Demonstrate a desire to grow into expanded HR leadership responsibilities over time.
General HR Administration
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure appropriate handling of sensitive team member information.
- Support compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR processes.
- Use HR systems and technology to improve organization, communication, and administrative efficiency.
- Assist with general people operations, records, documentation, and reporting as needed.

A strong candidate will be comfortable balancing HR responsibilities with hands-on restaurant support and guest service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, leadership, coaching, administration, or restaurant operations preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive conversations with professionalism.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on tasks.
- Comfortable working in both office and restaurant operations environments.
- Ability to build trust with team members and leaders.

Additional Notes
This role requires a visible and active presence in the restaurant. Most working hours will be spent supporting the restaurant operation, serving guests, building relationships with team members, and partnering with leaders in real time. This hands-on approach is essential to understanding the culture, earning trust, and making a meaningful impact.

Compensation: This is a full-time hourly position with total annual based compensation ranging from approximately $49,000–$60,000. Hourly pay is determined by experience, qualifications, availability, and readiness for the responsibilities of the role. Additional growth opportunities may be available based on performance and leadership development.
