IT & Information Security Manager

Location: Hybrid (Antwerp/Eindhoven)

About the Role:
As IT & Information Security Engineer, you will own eyeo’s IT security, infrastructure, and engineering systems end-to-end.
This role is security-first: you ensure that company IP, data, and systems are protected while enabling efficient collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
You combine hands-on IT execution with strategic ownership, working closely with an external IT partner while maintaining full internal control over architecture, policies, and security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Security Ownership
- Own and drive eyeo’s IT security strategy and execution
- Define and enforce security policies (access control, device security, data protection)
- Implement and manage identity & access management (IAM)
- Ensure secure data handling across internal teams and external partners
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents
2) IP Protection & Secure Collaboration
- Safeguard company IP and sensitive engineering data
- Enable secure collaboration with:
- Foundries
- Suppliers
- External engineering partners
- Define secure data-sharing and access frameworks
- Manage risks related to distributed and cross-border collaboration
3) IT Infrastructure & Systems
- Own IT infrastructure (cloud, endpoints, networks, identity systems)
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable
- Standardize tools and enforce security best practices
- Maintain documentation and system architecture
4) Engineering Systems & Data
- Support engineering teams (CAD tools, simulation, data storage, compute)
- Ensure secure setup of engineering environments
- Manage licenses, storage, backups, and data flows
- Balance accessibility, performance, and security
5) IT Operations & Support
- Ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations across both locations
- Provide hands-on support where needed (devices, access, troubleshooting)
- Manage onboarding/offboarding with strong security controls
- Act as go-to person for all IT-related topics
6) External IT Partner Management
- Manage and challenge external IT/managed service providers
- Define security requirements and ensure compliance
- Oversee implementations, upgrades, and issue resolution
- Maintain ownership of architecture and decision-making internally
7) IT Strategy & Scaling
- Define and execute a security-first IT roadmap
- Prepare the organization for growth (multi-site, scaling team, customer requirements)
- Continuously improve security maturity and operational efficiency
- Balance usability with strong protection of assets and IP
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
· 5+ years experience in IT, infrastructure, or security-focused roles
· Strong hands-on experience with:
- Identity & access management (IAM)
- Endpoint security and multi-platform device management (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar)
· Proven experience with IT security and data protection in a company environment
· Experience supporting engineering or R&D environments is a strong plus
· Experience working with external IT partners / MSPs
· Understanding of IP protection and secure collaboration in multi-partner environments
· Startup mindset: hands-on, pragmatic, ownership-driven
· Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and certification processes is a plus
