The HR Generalist will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring seamless Human Resources operations under the guidance of HR Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Support designated Business Units in partnership with HR Leadership.
- Facilitate the leaves of absence processes to ensure a personal and positive experience that is in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Act as a primary contact for HR processes, procedures, and employment laws, adeptly handling employee relations matters.
- Provide education, training and support to managers regarding their responsibilities related to employees they lead.
- Investigate complaints brought forward by employees and execute decisions in partnership with the HR Leadership.
- Support employees through development plans, performance management processes, training compliance, and organizational movement in partnership with Talent Management and Organizational Development teams, ensuring training compliance and accurate recordkeeping within the HRIS.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conduct regular research through surveys, interviews, and focus groups to recommend positive enhancements to the employee experience on topics such as policies, processes, and culture.
- Develop and maintain presentations related to various aspects of HR for business updates and training needs.
- Assist with execution of employee events.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in general HR functions.
- Thorough understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS, ATS, and LMS systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with leave of absence administration, ADA/FMLA, or workplace accommodations.
- Employee relations or workplace investigation experience.
- Immigration process exposure.
- Talent management, performance management, or employee development experience.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification.
