AI Engineer - Credit Risk Portfolio Analysis Platform | AI-Assisted Development | Major Dutch Bank
We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AI-assisted and agentic coding to help industrialise a Credit Risk Portfolio Analysis Platform at one of the Netherlands' largest banks.
This role focuses on taking an existing AI-built MVP from a developer environment into production, while extending functionality and embedding a new AI-driven way of working within the team.
About the Role
You will contribute to the development and productionisation of an internally built Credit Risk Portfolio Analysis Platform. The current solution is an MVP developed using AI-generated code and supports advanced analytical capabilities across credit risk domains.
Key platform capabilities include:
- Portfolio analysis
- Scenario analysis
- Stress testing
- Data validation workflows
- Large-scale dataset processing
- Trend and anomaly detection
- Potential customer overview features
Your responsibility is to help bring this platform into acceptance and production environments, extend its capabilities, and enable effective knowledge transfer within the team.
You will work closely with a small, multidisciplinary team and IT colleagues responsible for production deployment. This is a new operating model within the bank, heavily focused on AI-assisted development.
Technology Stack
The platform is built and evolved using modern AI-driven development tools, including:
- GitHub Copilot
- Claude Opus via Cloud Code
- Agentic coding approaches
Future development will continue using similar AI-assisted tooling. Experience with comparable tools is highly valued.

You are a hands-on AI engineer who thrives in environments where AI is part of the development process itself, not just the output.
Must-have experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding
- Proven use of tools such as:
- GitHub Copilot
- Claude / Cloud Code
- Similar AI coding environments
- Demonstrated ability to take AI-generated prototypes into production-grade systems
- Experience building and evolving real-world software using AI-assisted development workflows
- Ability to contribute to knowledge transfer and coach others in new tooling approaches
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in credit risk or financial services environments
- Familiarity with:
