The Cyber Security Analyst will safeguard computer systems and networks from cyber threats. This role involves monitoring networks for security breaches, implementing protective measures, and responding to incidents to mitigate potential damage. Responsible for ensuring that educational programs are conducted to enhance the general I.T. security awareness across the organization.
Qualifications:
- A College degree in a computer-related discipline and a security certification preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of Cyber Security management experience.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- An understanding of Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems, network protocols, firewalls, and system patching.
- Ability to recognize, detect, and remediate potential security risks/breaches.
- Working knowledge of and experience in the policy and regulatory environment of information security, especially in not-for-profit, is desirable.
- Experience in reviewing and evaluating Vendors’ Information Security reports (SOC2) as part of the contract process to assess risk.
- Ability to communicate with management, peers, subordinates within IT, and the customer community. This requires excellent verbal and written skills, as well as a level of trust and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
