Summary
A mid sized life sciences organisation focused on advancing AI led drug discovery is seeking a Head of Talent to lead and scale its hiring function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building high performing recruitment capability across technical, scientific and digital teams.
This position will play a critical role in supporting the company’s growth as it integrates artificial intelligence into its R&D and drug discovery platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the talent acquisition strategy aligned to business growth and innovation goals
- Manage and mentor an established HR and recruitment team, driving performance and delivery standards
- Oversee end to end recruitment for complex technical roles including AI, data science, software engineering and life sciences research
- Partner with senior leadership across IT, R&D and business functions to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning
- Build strong talent pipelines within AI, machine learning and computational biology communities
- Implement modern recruitment practices, including data driven hiring and automation tools
- Enhance employer branding within the Pharma and Biotech sector across the US market
- Ensure efficient and compliant hiring processes aligned to US employment standards
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years experience within Human Resources, with a strong focus on technical recruitment
- Proven experience leading and scaling recruitment teams in a corporate or high growth environment
- Demonstrated background hiring for IT environments, particularly within AI, machine learning or data driven functions
- Experience recruiting within Pharma, Biotech or life sciences sectors is essential
- Strong understanding of talent trends in AI led drug discovery and emerging technologies
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence hiring decisions at executive level
- Track record of delivering against high volume and specialist hiring targets
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to AI driven drug discovery, digital health or advanced analytics in life sciences
- Experience implementing recruitment technologies or AI in hiring processes
- Background working in fast growth or innovation focused organisations
