The Business Development Manager with experience in the Maritime sector and/or related industries will focus on new business development, identifying opportunities, generating leads, and converting prospects into long-term customers. The individual must be a true hunter, energized by building a pipeline through cold outreach, visits, and networking. Must understand the Maritime landscape and be able to translate customer needs into clear, commercially strong solutions within our satcom and IT portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively generate new business through cold calling, outreach, and client visits
· Identify and develop opportunities within the maritime and offshore sectors
· Attend and represent the company at events, exhibitions, and industry meetings across Europe
· Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
· Onboard new customers and provide a clear overview of our portfolio and solutions
· Work closely with technical and project teams to align solutions with customer requirements
· Keep the CRM fully up to date with accurate and structured data
· Stay informed on market developments, competitors, and industry trends
· Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
Key Skills & Competencies
· 3–5 years of experience in maritime and/or a related industry
· Experience with SATCOM, connectivity, or similar technical solutions
· Strong commercial mindset with a focus on new business (hunting mentality)
· Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, and face-to-face sales
· Understanding of the maritime industry and its dynamics
· Fluent in English and at least one other major European language (Dutch, German, or Spanish preferred)
· Willingness to travel across Europe
