A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Learning & Development (L&D), the Manager Leadership Programs is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of programs that develop leadership skills within the organization, as well as supporting broader L&D initiatives as needed. This role coordinates all LDP program logistics, including managing training schedules, developing materials, tracking employee progress, and evaluating program effectiveness. This manager ensures programs are executed with consistency, quality, and measurable impact, while supporting the Vice President of L&D in aligning leadership development and other learning initiatives to business priorities. Works closely with vendors and internal L&D team and Certified Trainers to manage facilitation and/or development of curriculum and content, share and reinforce learning resources, and provide overall facilitation support of programs to enhance leadership capabilities and drive organizational performance. Collaborates with operations leadership to identify skill gaps, mentors' internal trainers and other program support staff, provides coaching support to leaders, and contributes to the successful execution of other enterprise learning and development efforts, as needed.
What You Will Do
- Manage program schedules, timelines, budgets, and participant registration.
- Oversee end‑to‑end program coordination, ensuring a consistent and high‑quality learner experience across leadership development and other L&D programs.
- Design, create, and implement learning programs, including workshops, in‑house sessions, blended learning journeys, and learning modules that align with business strategy and broader learning priorities.
- Partner with business leaders to assess leadership and capability gaps and support the development of learning solutions across multiple functional or enterprise L&D initiatives.
- Support the L&D Leaders in partnering with senior leaders, HR, and Talent Management to identify development needs and map learning solutions to organizational priorities across leadership and other learning domains.
- Conduct workshops, facilitate training sessions, and provide coaching to leaders on assessment results. May also support facilitation, design, or delivery of other L&D programs as required.
- Facilitates and participates in cross-functional project teams and department team meetings.
- Provides in-person, on-site training as requested or determined to support the business needs.
- Assists with training enhancements on a regular basis to ensure compliance and consistency with HMC’s standardized policies, procedures, and company goals.
- Track metrics (KPIs) and utilize feedback to evaluate effectiveness, ROI, and impact of leadership development and other L&D initiatives.
- Leverage the LMS and digital learning tools to manage enrollments, track progress, and maintain accurate learning records across leadership and other L&D offerings.
- Implements and provides ongoing support for all training and mentoring programs.
- Coaches and develops HMC Team Members providing effective growth and career/professional development opportunities.
- Work closely with external training vendors, facilitators, and guest speakers supporting both leadership development and broader learning programs.
- Provide program management, design, facilitation, or operational support for other learning and development initiatives as assigned, based on business priorities and organizational needs.
- Ensures all statutory and compliance training requirements are met.
- This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, Business or a related field. Required
- 4-6 years Experience in leadership development, training, or talent management. Required and
- 4-6 years Demonstrated experience managing programs, timelines, and multiple stakeholders. Required
- 1-3 years Experience with digital content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia). Preferred
- 4-6 years Coaching certification or assessment experience (e.g., 360s, leadership assessments). Required
- 1-3 years Exposure to vendor coordination or contract support. Preferred
- Knowledge of learning concepts, training and development methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of principles of organizational development and organizational effectiveness.
- Extensive knowledge of leadership, soft skills, employee development and technical training.
- Ability to perform and interpret needs analyses, and translate the findings into actionable next steps.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning processes, instructional design techniques, and evaluation methodologies.
- Strong planning and project management skills and ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines.
- Strong leadership, communication (written/oral), presentation, and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions. Ability to identify, use, understand and manage emotions in positive ways to empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict; self-awareness.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
- Experience conducting needs analyses and supporting learning evaluation efforts.
- Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.
- Strong computer skills to include knowledge of software used to develop written materials, presentation materials and graphical material.
- Requires a detail oriented, independent thinker who can be a part of a team and demonstrates strong attention to detail, and knowledge of operations procedures.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual meeting platforms, and content creation software (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia)
- DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required
