HR Coordinator
Pay Range: $22-$26/hour, based on experience
Fully Onsite in Orlando
Estimated Contract Length: 4-6 months
A growing nonprofit organization is seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations during an exciting period of growth and organizational development. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will help provide structure, improve processes, and support employees across a fast-paced and evolving environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, working independently, and helping bring organization to a team experiencing rapid growth and change.
Responsibilities
- Process offer letters, onboarding paperwork, employment verifications, and HR documentation
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR and benefits-related questions
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with benefits administration and employee communications
- Support compliance tracking, personnel documentation, and HR processes
- Coordinate HR meetings, trainings, and internal communications
- Partner closely with leadership to support administrative and operational HR functions
- Assist with general people operations and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR coordination, HR administration, office management, or related experience
- Experience working within an HRIS platform and maintaining employee records
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal direction
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes unstructured environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Previous nonprofit, charter school, or public school experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience
