Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level technical support to end users.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Perform system upgrades and patch management.
- Set up user accounts, passwords, and permissions in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth network and system performance.
- Support on-site and remote users as needed.
Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in desktop or IT support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, etc.) are a plus
