Scope Of Responsibility
The HR Director will be responsible for creating a high performing, sustainable and effective team over multiple facilities. The Director will maximize the strategic value of the Human Resources Department and elevate areas such as talent management, total rewards, organizational development, workplace policies, communications, regulatory compliance, and advises department managers and supervisors regarding human resources issues.
Essential Duties
- Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management, employee development, succession planning and retention. Facilitate talent reviews to assess pipeline strength, determine development focus areas or gaps in the organization and implement necessary actions.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Coach and influence leaders to improve performance and leader effectiveness while fostering a culture of manager ownership and accountability of the employee life cycle.
- Work with site managers and local HR talent to deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to identify organizational issues and drive action plans.
- Facilitate a culture where best practices are retained and shared across the Human Resources organization and benchmark industry and local best practices to set stretch performance targets.
- Oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Develops and implements departmental budget.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Other duties as assigned, directed, requested, or needed.

Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required;
- Experience: Minimum 5 years with multiple facilities preferred.
- Strong business acumen, leadership, and Human Resource knowledge.
- Skills & Abilities: Ability to function as a change agent to quickly develop, organize and streamline HR function.
- Sees “big picture” and is able to stay focused.
- Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to assess a variety of abstract facts, formulate reasoned alternatives and positively communicate decisions and solutions.
- Track record of building support and credibility with all levels of employees. Develop strong working relationships.
- Maintains confidences and ensures appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Possesses a high energy level and enthusiasm with the ability to focus on agreed recommendations and results.
