Job Description
The AI Team is part of SKIM’s broader Methodology, Analytics & Technology team (MAT), responsible for driving innovation across our research tools, methodologies, and client solutions worldwide. As SKIM continues to push the boundaries of AI, in insight-based consulting, we are looking for an AI Engineer to help design, build, and scale AI powered tools that create real impact, both for our clients and our internal teams.
This role is hands on and exploratory by nature. It’s not about executing predefined tasks, but about building, testing, and evolving AI solutions in an environment where direction may shift as technology and priorities change. As An AI Engineer, You Will
Build AI Enabled Research & Insight Tools
- Develop conversational chatbot experiences for surveys and qualitative research.
- Create predictive and generative AI tools to support concept testing, ideation, and advanced analysis of open-ended data.
- Apply LLMs and other AI techniques to push beyond traditional insight generation.
Own and Scale AI Solutions
- Take end to end ownership of tools, from understanding user needs and prototyping, to standardization, maintenance, and scaling.
- Work closely with researchers and other teams to continuously refine and improve tools based on feedback and performance.
Explore, Experiment & Evolve
- Stay close to emerging AI technologies and experimentation opportunities.
- Proactively test new approaches, validate ideas, and share learnings with the broader team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have outstanding conceptual thinking and great execution when developing AI solutions Typically, we are looking for someone with the following profile:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant working experience, NLP experience is preferred
- Experience working with state-of-the-art techniques such as RAG, LLM frameworks, and OpenAI APIs
- Proficiency in Python
- Basic experience with Cloud Computing and Deployment
- Interest in learning business applications of AI
- Interest in marketing and market research
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- You are authorized to work in the Netherlands (resident, citizen, valid visa or other)
