As our data scientist you will sit within the Growth & Marketing department of the organization. You will help shape Polarsteps growth strategy by analyzing our constraints, developing models, and measuring the impact of product, growth and business initiatives. Partnering with the Head of Growth, you’ll turn data into strategies that guide prioritization of new initiatives and accelerate insights for our product teams. You’ll collaborate with our cross-functional teams of product, marketing and designers to scale insights and drive efficient growth.
With 20M+ users and ratings of 4.8 and 4.7 on the app stores and features in multiple Google and Apple showcases, we've got an impressive past. But we’re even more excited for the future, and you’ll play a crucial role in the growth and direction of Polarsteps as we grow to 100M+ users around the globe.
Your itinerary
What your journey at Polarsteps will look like day-to-day.
- Develop data-driven strategies to drive the growth of Polarsteps users in our key marktes
- Apply statistical methods to deep-dive and breaking down changes to find/understand causal relationships to help inform business decisions.
- Build, monitor and sustain scalable dashboards to track our growth, engagement and monetization metrics.
- Communicate to the organization as a whole about growth metrics to help them understand what’s working and what isn’t and help them understand how to drive up MAUs
- Contribute to quarterly and yearly planning through growth modellingen and impact forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with our product managers, growth and marketing department to understand growth drivers and guide strategic decisions.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing the course of our business
- Support our senior management team with reporting to external parties (current and prospective investors)
The equipment in your backpack
What we’re hoping you’ll bring with you.
✅ 5+ years analyzing insights from data using tools such as Python/R and SQL.
✅ Hands-on experience supporting B2C Mobile app organizations with their growth strategy
✅ Intellectually curious, creative, and diligent - you enjoy thinking about the business as much as about the data
✅ Worked with product analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Appsflyer, Adjust, Looker, Meta Base etc.).
✅ Have a background in Economics/Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or other relevant field.
✅ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present analyses and insights in clear, impactful formats.
