Your new role
As the HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations and ensuring smooth processes across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the VP of HR and Sr HR Generalist, you will assist with onboarding, benefits administration, compliance documentation, employee relations coordination, recruitment support, and HR policy implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and building trusted partnerships within a fast‑paced environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- 2+ years of HR experience, ideally in a Coordinator or Generalist capacity
- Familiarity with onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, and compliance processes
- Comfortable travelling onsite to the Herndon VA office daily
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving construction environment
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information
- Experience supporting recruitment or workforce planning is a plus
- Construction or engineering industry experience preferred but not required
