GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator will provide HR support to employees across DCL Corporation. The HR Coordinator will support the development and administration of programs and policies aimed at aligning DCL’s most important asset, our employees, with the strategic goals of the organization. The HR Coordinator will partner with other HR team members, Payroll, and Company Management to foster an employee-centric company culture that emphasizes DCL’s Core Values – Environment, Health & Safety; One Team; Customer Centric, and Growth Mindset.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
The specific responsibilities of the HR Coordinator, while not limited to, include:
- Provide support to HR programs including onboarding, offboarding, leave management, salary administration and benefits administration
- Participate in various parts of the recruitment process for assigned roles, including arranging for pre-employment testing and preparing offer letters to ensure top talent is hired, transferred and/or promoted.
- Provide information to managers and employees on policies and HR programs
- Facilitate effective employee communication for items such as company announcements, memos, program updates, policy changes, etc. across various mediums
- Liaise with employees and provide timely responses and/or action to their inquiries.
- Create, maintain and manage all paper and electronic employee files ensuring accurate and compliant data.
- Compile reports to support the business and those required per company policy and government programs
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree is required. Bachelor’s in Human Resources is preferred.
- 2 years of Human Resources experience or mix of related experience and education is also preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Knowledgeable in current HR theory, trends, practices, and current employment legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Results oriented with proven interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
- Employee-service focused.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, applicant tracking systems for recruiting and an HR Management or Information System.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role will be located onsite in Bushy Park and may be PART-TIME or FULL-TIME.
