Junior Cybersecurity Analyst | NYC | Top-Tier Private Equity Firm

One of the world's most storied private equity firms—a pioneer in building businesses and creating long-term value—is looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join their security team in NYC.

What You'll Do:
You'll work directly under the CISO, getting hands-on experience with best-in-class security technologies. Day to day, you'll monitor SIEM and endpoint alerts, investigate and escalate potential incidents, and support response activities from detection through documentation. You'll also touch DLP, CASB, SSPM, AITRiSM, and threat intelligence tools, all while contributing to security awareness programs, phishing simulations, and broader cybersecurity initiatives across the firm.
What They're Looking For:
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Foundational understanding of incident response, threat detection, and operating systems
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, DLP, or antivirus concepts
- Strong analytical chops and attention to detail
- Genuine enthusiasm for automating security operations
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Azure or cloud/SaaS environments
- Basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Entry-level certs like Security+ or Associate of (ISC)²
