Cybersecurity Analyst

Contract to Hire | 40 hours per week

W2 only / No C2C

CDW is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Analyst to support and enhance security operations across enterprise and manufacturing environments. This role focuses on threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and automation initiatives that strengthen overall security posture and reduce operational risk.

Responsibilities

Investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents across endpoints, identity systems, networks, cloud platforms, and email environments
Support incident response activities including triage, containment, recovery, and post-incident analysis
Manage vulnerability remediation efforts, risk prioritization, and reporting
Build and tune security detections to improve visibility and reduce false positives
Perform threat hunting and root cause analysis using logs, telemetry, and threat intelligence
Support security tools across endpoint, identity, network, cloud, email, and vulnerability management domains
Develop automation and process improvements using PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar technologies
Collaborate with IT teams, security partners, and business stakeholders to coordinate remediation efforts
Contribute to compliance initiatives aligned with NIST, ISO, SOX, and internal audit requirements

Required Qualifications

3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or security engineering
Experience investigating and responding to security incidents
Experience with vulnerability management programs and security operations processes
Knowledge of endpoint, identity, cloud, email, and network security technologies
Experience working with managed security providers and external security partners
Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Python, APIs, or similar tools
Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting manufacturing, OT, or ICS environments
Experience building security automation and orchestration workflows
Cloud security experience
Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, SC-200, AZ-500, or equivalent

Additional Details

Participation in an on-call rotation required
Up to 15% travel
