Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Head of Human Resources to build and lead the HR function for a growing, private equity-backed company undergoing active M&A and integration. This leader will establish scalable people processes, support a distributed field workforce, and play a critical role in diligence and post-acquisition integration.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a build-and-scale environment—balancing strategy with execution—while driving performance, engagement, and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

Build and lead the HR function from the ground up, including policies, programs, and infrastructure
Design and implement scalable processes across the full employee lifecycle (hire to retire)
Lead HR workstreams for M&A, including due diligence, integration planning, and execution
Assess organizational structure, talent, compensation, and HR risks during acquisitions
Develop and execute integration playbooks, including onboarding, policy alignment, and systems integration
Drive cultural integration and change management across acquired businesses
Partner with leadership on workforce planning aligned to growth and acquisition strategy
Oversee and support full-cycle recruiting across corporate and field technician populations
Develop HR programs to support a distributed, hourly workforce and improve retention and productivity
Serve as the primary lead for employee relations, ensuring consistent and compliant practices
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple entities
Implement performance management processes aligned with business objectives and value creation goals
Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs, including harmonization post-acquisition
Lead, develop, and mentor a small HR team (Recruiter and HR Generalist)
Provide HR metrics, insights, and reporting to executive leadership and private equity sponsors
