Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Associate to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources function. This role will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, benefits coordination, compliance, and employee engagement while helping build scalable HR processes that support our continued growth.

The Human Resources Associate will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure an exceptional employee experience, maintain compliance with employment regulations, and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes.
Prepare employment documents, onboarding materials, and HR communications.
Support HRIS administration and maintain employee data accuracy.
Assist with benefits enrollment, employee changes, and vendor coordination.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications.
Support full-cycle recruitment for corporate, technical, and operational positions.
Partner with hiring managers to coordinate hiring activities and onboarding.
Assist in preparing offer letters and employment documentation.
Help improve recruiting processes and enhance the candidate experience.

Employee Experience & Culture

Support employee engagement initiatives, team events, and recognition programs.
Assist with performance review processes and employee development activities.
Help foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive workplace culture.
Serve as a trusted resource for routine employee questions and HR support.

Compliance & HR Policies

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Support I-9 verification, employment eligibility documentation, and personnel recordkeeping.
Assist in maintaining the employee handbook, HR policies, and internal procedures.
Coordinate required compliance training and HR-related documentation.
Support HR-related compliance initiatives, including documentation and policy management.

HR Projects & Reporting

Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics.
Support payroll administration by coordinating employee information with payroll providers.
Participate in HR process improvement initiatives and special projects.
Assist leadership with workforce administration and other HR initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience: 1–3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a startup, technology, or high-growth environment.

HR Knowledge: Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws, HR best practices, and employee lifecycle processes.

Communication & Organization: Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, BambooHR, ADP, or similar systems.
Experience supporting multi-state employees.
Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing technology company.
Experience supporting compliance initiatives and HR process documentation.
