HR Coordinator

Columbus, OH | $55,000-$60,000 Base Salary | Employee-Owned Company (ESOP)

Our client, a well-established employee-owned organization in the Columbus area, is seeking an HR Coordinator to support a wide range of human resources functions. This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across payroll, benefits administration, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and HR operations while contributing to a collaborative and growth-oriented workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for hourly and salaried team members on weekly and bi-weekly payroll schedules
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and employee support.
Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and background screenings.
Lead new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive and seamless employee experience.
Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Support employee engagement initiatives, performance management processes, and offboarding activities.
Assist with general HR administration and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in human resources, payroll, recruiting, benefits administration, or a related field.
Experience supporting payroll processing and employee benefits programs preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
